The Cosmetology Instructor course is open to those who have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D., and a current Michigan Cosmetology, Nail Technology, or Esthetician license. The Instructor Course prepares students to be a licensed Cosmetology, Nail Technology or Esthetician Instructor. The Cosmetology Instructor course takes 500 hours to complete. Starting dates are the same as the Cosmetology Course. Hours can be accumulated on a flexible time schedule.
Students are required to receive a minimum score of 85% on all pre-state examinations, complete assigned projects, meet instructor objectives, and meet all financial obligations to the Institute. A Diploma of Completion will be awarded once a student has met all of the above requirements.
