The part time course was established to accommodate the student with limited time but has the aspiration to become a licensed cosmetologist. Unlike the full time course, the hours for the part time course are flexible to your needs. We offer both day and evening scheduling options. Please contact the Admissions Director to discuss your scheduling needs.
Starting dates for the daytime course are the same as the full time course (the night course only begins during the April and September sessions). Part-time cosmetology students will attend Booker Institute for approximately 18 months. Booker Institute, as set by the State of Michigan, requires the student to participate in 1,500 hours, receive a minimum of 85% on all pre-state examinations, meet instructor objectives on practical skills and meet all financial obligations to Booker Institute prior to graduation.
